Marc has been going through officer training in the National Guard for the past couple of years and had his graduation ceremony in August. The whole family drove to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs to watch the ceremony.
He was sworn in and then my dad, being a retired 1st Sergeant in the army, along with my sister and the kids, all pinned on Marc's new stripes. Then my dad was the first person to salute Marc. He officially became a 2nd Lieutenant.
Marc was also presented with the top Physical Fitness award in his class, which was no surprise to any of us! Then he was also awarded second in his class.
After the graduation we drove back up to their house to celebrate. Many congrats to Marc and we are so proud of you for all of your hard work!
